Default Kanye West - Yeezus (Album)

Kanye West has remained silent regarding plans for the follow up to his last solo release My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but dubstep whiz Skrillex said that he's helping 'Ye work on the project. During an interview with The Daily Beast (via HHNM), Skrillex said that he's contributing to the labum and that he did music with 'Ye that will be the "first song on his new album."

“I did some music with Kanye and from what I know, it’s actually going to be the first song on his new album," he said.

Back in July, producer No I.D. revealed that he's been at work on West's new album. "I'm not working on that [Cruel Summer] album, I'm working on his album," he said. "This is Kanye. You know what to expect from the family. He hasn't missed yet, so don't expect him to miss."

S1 producing on it:
Quote:
According to S1, he has been producing tracks for a number of Hip Hop's finest, including Royce Da 5'9", Raekwon and Lupe Fiasco on the second part of Food & Liquor II. S1 added that he's also been working heavily on his Very G.O.O.D. Beats production partner Kanye West's next solo album.

"I’m working with Lupe on his new album that is supposed to come out this year. I actually have been working a lot with him. I got a lot of songs with Lupe. This is the second part of Food & Liquor II and I am very involved with the overall sound he’s creating. Definitely excited about it...I’m working with Raekwon, of course Kanye, Royce Da 5’9” on his solo project, I’ve been sending some songs to Eminem as well. J. Cole is another one. Then I’ve been working with Ryan Leslie as well."

He continued, "I’m always working with Kanye. In fact, I’m actually part of his production team Very G.O.O.D. Beats. I’m always involved with stuff he’s working on, whether it’s his solo project or a G.O.O.D. Music compilation album. I’m always contributing my ideas of work to him..[Kanye]’s gearing up to like really go in on [his solo album]. I’m definitely excited about being a part of that."

^^Not surprising, guess it was false.

The Dream working on the album:
"I've been told to zip it," he said. However, he did reveal Kanye West is working on his next album -- and he'll be joining the hip-hop star in Paris to work on it in the coming weeks. And as for his much-talked-about hats? "[Jay-Z] was just digging on me, we do that," he said, defending his on-stage headwear choice. "B had just said, she wanted both of these hats." (Billboard)

dubstep and kanye? it should be interesting, after a.s.a.p's wild for the night, hip hop world can use dupstep beats. i think it suits.

Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West's upcoming untitled solo effort is reportedly taking form and will have a noticeable black vibe to it, according to G.O.O.D. affiliate Malik Yusef.

He's not the only act to firm up recording plans with West to reporters at the Awards. Longtime collaborator Malik Yusef was also on hand, and he ended up describing his efforts with West akin to "work camps," saying recording can be "tortuous." "He is a perfectionist, obviously. It's harsh," he said, noting that whether they're in Paris or Hawaii, it's a labor. "[West] says no to a hundred things." As to the specifics of sound and scope, Yusef said "I can't talk too much about it. Just remember black music, the black experience. It's a throwback to that era," he said, but "a distillation of what's happening in the modern world." What it won't have is a lot of West singing, or at least not as much singing as he did on 2008's "808s & Heartbreak." "I don't know if we'd ever revisit that amount of singing," Yusef said. (HitFix)

Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West may have a ton of production accolades to his name, however, Ye has decided to once again work with longtime friend/fellow hitmaker Jeff Bhasker for his upcoming solo album.

"I'm working on his next album and going out to do shows with him in London and Paris," Bhasker said of Kanye. "I'm going to spend some time with him seeing if I can contribute something to the album. It's always great to collaborate with him. He recharges my battery with his superhuman artistic strength. It's great to have that rub off on you." The pair have had a very fruitful association so far, working on such West classics as "Runaway," "All of the Lights," "Power," Amazing" and "Love Lockdown." After setting the internet on fire this weekend with a on-stage rant targeting corporations, the Grammys, and Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie,” Kanye West used another European performance to make more news last night.

While performing in Paris, West took a moment to tell the audience that he is working on “new sh*t.” He then went on to say that he will “back in a couple of months.”

Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West's untitled solo album is still coming together with help from production crew the Heatmakerz, who Yeezy came up with during his pre-fame days.
"I got a record on Kanye's new project that I guess he's been working on for a minute now," Heatmakerz producer Rsonist told MTV News. "Anybody that's familiar with Heatmakerz, it's old-school, epic Heatmakerz, like soul music at its best. Kanye reached out to us because he wanted that old Heatmakerz sound." The Heatmakerz, a successful New York production outfit, were also making similar styled beats producing for Cam'ron's Diplomats ("I'm Ready," "Dipset Anthem") and Lil Wayne ("Receipt"). (MTV)
While not spilling too many details, the New York hitmaker promised old-school soul for the LP.
There is no telling where Kanye's audio will go on his upcoming sixth solo LP, but according to Rsonist, for at least one track, we'll get a glimpse of the old 'Ye. "We all came up together during the whole Jay-Z Roc-A-Fella era and all that so yeah, it's typical Heatmakerz," he described. "Old-school soul music. It's dope." (MTV)
