Madden, Memph... come on... I am not a Melo fan by far... but let's keep it real here, any NBA GM would take Melo over Pierce without a second thought. Statwise Pierce isn't even on his level.

Melo ain't shit, but he would still get picked first 90 out 100 times.

And Trust, no offense here, but I mean, he ain't on the court when he said that shit. This dude wasn't even around other NBA players, they probably would've laughed at his silly ass. Sure you HAVE to be confident when you're on the court. But come on, do you think John Starks thought he was better then Jordan when he played against him? Do you think Dikembe Mutombo thought he was better then Shaq in the Finals when he was getting raped every other possession?

Real recognize real. Just cause you don't think you're the best player in the world (which is an arguable topic) doesn't mean you lack confidence in your game. Delonte West KNOWS that Lebron is the BEST player on his team. Farmar, he KNOWS Kobe is the best player on that team.

That's just being real. You can have all the god damn confidence in yourself, that's great. But being unrealistic is a whole other story.

You're telling me that if Derek Fisher were to suddenly declare that he's the best player in the world, we supposed to nod our head and say... "yea, he's right. He SHOULD feel like he is the best player on his team, and in the world"

i was watching a joe dumars documentary on nba tv yesterday

he said when he was playing he thought he was the best basketball player every game no matter who he was going against

that confidence helped him become a great basketball player
