Meta Album Updates

Dear NOHH Fam,

So yeahhh, I've finished my EP/Mixtape Bad Quality Soul EP which contained 2 singles for this album...

Im currently working on a free digital LP, which will hopefully drop close to the end of the summer.. I've already told you guys the title "The METATheory"

The album consists of lyrical stories about my past and my strange perspective on life.. Nothing too fancy, but Im still fucking around with the concept.

Singles that are out so far (On the mixtape)
-Dreaming (Produced By G3)
-IDK (Produced by Agresiv)

I will be dropping one more single which will feature 2 local mc's in my area..., and I will make a 3 track EP for yall to download once that's done.

Oh and here's a beat I made that will be on the album:
I'm trying to mix an electro vibe with the art of sampling in the beats I make.. so let me know what yall think.

Anyways I'll be using this thread for future updates. I'm open for feedback and suggestions.

new updates:

I've been held back on my beatmaking lately because I've been producing for a local duo known as "Ova'FLO," their video is on my youtube channel

But I'm now back to work... so far the vibe to most of my beats is soulful with an abstract feel to it. I'm trying different things at the moment, such as sampling from multiple records and putting it all together as "collage" beats which I like to call them. I will hopefully drop the 3-4 track EP sometime in the next few weeks, depending on how everything goes.

yo meta, do you use soundfonts or VSTs for fruityloops?

I dont use fruity loops that much anymore, but most of my synthesizers and bass came from VST's.

I now use Reason 4, which comes with a shitload of soundfonts, so I do use them more often now, especially with violin and grand piano
But most of the instrumentation comes all from vinyl samples

yea man, you can do A LOT with it. Its got a lot of devices that simulate actual studio hardware, very good program.
Idk how to torrent it, so I bought it cuz I couldnt wait

hmmmm I don't know how to use most of that ish anyways, is it any easier to make beats with? or more complicated? about the same?

idk, depends on what your used to. Sampling with Reason is a lot less time consuming than FL... But FL supports VST which I dont think Reason does.. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. I wouldnt say one is easier than the other, but Reason can get confusing because it attempts to simulate an actual studio with wires, cables, and devices... But its pretty basic on how theyre used.

New update:

So Ive come to a conclusion that the digital album will have a new style... I decided I want it to be more production-based rather than straight up loop beats with rapping..

Dont get me wrong, I'm still going to rap, but I want my beats to have variety.. I have become entranced with making beats.. Like I saide earlier, most of them will have an electro vibe mixed with sampling..

I'm almost done with my 4th single... That means the EP is coming out soon!
